Recently I hired Bay Islands Airways float plane and Devon Stephens a local photographer. We went up for 2 hours and toured around the island shooting aerial pictures of our rental houses, real estate property and of course some fun shots.

It is a great way to see the island and get a different perspective. Roatan is a beautiful place at almost any angle and by Air as you can see it can be breathtaking.

From top down here are the pictures. French Harbor the 2nd city on Roatna is the first picture. The 2nd picture down is First Bight, the Third Picture is Sandy Bay and the last one is me and the pilot.

Officina De Pedro

Here in Roatan we have three very nice rental houses in an area called Coral Vista. This little point that juts out into the sea in West End has five 4 bedroom homes. We manage 3 of these and they are great rentals for us.

One of the drawbacks to these homes for us is there is no car access so we have to park and carry luggage down the beach a few hundred yards to the homes. Luckily the community and developer have Pedro and his trusty wheel barrows.

Pedro is the watchman, porter, errand man, gardner and all around good guy. For a few limps or bucks he can help with most any task. He is honest, hardworking and really great to have especially when your checking in a group of 8 people each with 3 bags (some dive bags). People usually arrive in the middle of the day when its really hot.

I am lately a littel worried that Pedro may have his sites set on greater things. I recently noticed a new sign on his bodega (local name for storage shed). By the looks of the picture my tip prices may be going up to help pay for his office overhead.
