Road or River?

We had quite a downpour yesterday and the road out of Mangrove Bight and Gibson Bight by my house was pretty flooded. The road is basically low and the water from the hills comes down it on the way to the little stream that goes out to Gibson Bight. To fix it we would need to raise the road and create some ditches with a pipe or two more (there is 1) under the road to move the water faster. I do not see this happening anytime soon so till then its an ADVENTURE!

Tony Fitz amazing tailor

Tony Fitz was telling me at lunch today how he has lost weight and how he has become quite the tailor. As you can tell from these pictures he has taken in his short pants 2 times now by moving the button over farther. Not sure if this ex-brit is ready to return to saville row any time soon but when your on an island every piece of ingenuity counts and Tony is never short of it.

Scott and Stephanie come to Roatan

Cindy and I were lucky again last week with another group of friends (new and old) came to visit us. Our good friends Stephanie and Scott Zender from Dallas came down for a week with another couple Liz and Chip who we had met once before and were happy to get to know better.

The week was a lot of fun with a few days on the boat, a day of touring the island, lots of nice meals both in and out and a few libations. They chose to stay in Casa De Suenos a great property we manage in Lawson Rock and they liked the home a lot.

Scott, Stephanie and I went to do the Dolphin snorkel at AKR and had a great time. That is an experience you just never get tired of. They said they just loved Roatan and can't wait to come back and we can't wait for them to visit again.
